What we collect

When you use the enquiry desk we receive what you send us: your name, company, email address, telephone number where you give one, and any file you attach, typically a line list, a bill of quantities or a drawing set. Each enquiry is also entered in our enquiry log: your name, company and email address, the topic, your message, the page you wrote from, the country your connection came from and the name of any file. Your IP address is kept only as a one-way code, to stop the forms being flooded from one connection.

Why we hold it

To quote and, if you place an order, to supply. Enquiry files are read by the desk the enquiry is routed to, and by the manufacturers we need to price against. Our website host and email provider process it for us, on our instructions, and may do so outside the UAE.

Brochure requests

When you ask for a brochure or catalogue, on our request page or from the EPIC Technical Library, we receive your first name, second name and email address. We keep them in our enquiry log with the documents you chose, the page you came from and the country your connection came from, and we email you a personal link to each PDF. Each link works for 30 days and we record when it is opened. We use your details to send the documents and to follow up with you about them. We do not sell them. Asking for a brochure or catalogue sets no cookie.

The Technical Library

When you register or ask for a document in the EPIC Technical Library we keep your name, company, role, country, email address and any project details you give, together with a record of the documents you receive. We use them to send you the documents, to keep track of which copies have been issued and to follow up with you about EPIC. We do not sell them. Registering, or opening a personal link, sets one cookie that keeps the library open to you for 90 days. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

How long

Quotation records are held for seven years to meet UAE commercial record-keeping requirements. Attachments that did not lead to an order are deleted once they are no longer needed. The enquiry log, brochure requests and library registrations are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Analytics and cookies

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. We see page counts and referrers. We do not set tracking cookies and we do not build a profile of you. Cloudflare, which protects this site, may set security cookies in your browser to tell people from automated scripts. We do not use them for tracking or advertising.

Security check

The enquiry, brochure and library forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated scripts. It checks the browser, not what you type.
