Industrial Procurement

Construction project materials.

Drainage, storm water and ground materials for building, infrastructure and landscape programmes, supplied from Dubai and quoted line by line from your bill of quantities.

From the roof to the outfall.

The range follows the water: floor and roof drains in the building, grease and oil separation, surface channels, below-ground storage, and the outfall valve and cover at the far end. Landscape layers complete the scope for planted decks, ponds and podiums.

Each section gives the product type, the standard it is designed to, where it is used and what we need from you to price it.

What we supply

Channel drainage

Polymer concrete channels, slot drains and a heavy-duty slot drain, with gratings in ductile iron, galvanised steel or stainless steel.

  • Polymer concrete channels designed to EN 1433, load classes A15 to F900 by series.
  • Slot drains, single or double slot, up to D400.
  • Heavy-duty slot drain, steel-lined, up to F900, for airports and ports.

Storm water management

Tanks, chambers, separators and valves for the path of storm water, from the tank to the outfall.

  • Attenuation and infiltration tanks, 95% void ratio, polymer units wrapped in geotextile.
  • Arch chambers designed to AASHTO HS-20 live and earth loads.
  • Vortex separators, placed upstream of tanks and outfalls.
  • Oil and light liquid separators to EN 858-1, Class I, full retention or bypass.
  • Duckbill and flap valves for outfalls.

Building drainage

  • Grease separators to EN 1825-1: free-standing with automatic disposal, below ground, and smaller interceptors.
  • Floor, roof and cleanout drains in coated cast iron, aluminium and stainless steel.
  • Hygienic stainless steel drainage for kitchens and food areas, and linear shower channels for wet rooms.

Access covers

Recessed and solid covers in stainless steel, galvanised steel and aluminium, up to load class F900, single or multi-part. FRP covers are also supplied, for locations that need a cover that is light, resists corrosion and does not conduct electricity.

Landscape and ground

Drainage cell, root guard and salt barrier, and EPDM liners for ponds, reservoirs and water features.

Also supplied: corrugated and perforated drainage pipe, low-noise drainage pipe systems, lifting stations, balcony, area and planter drains, geotextiles and geogrids.

Standards and load classes.

Load class and standard are the first two lines of any drainage specification.

Load classes, the test load and where each is used
ClassTest loadWhere it is used
A1515 kNPedestrian and cycle areas only.
B125125 kNFootways, pedestrian zones, private car parks and parking decks.
C250250 kNKerbside channels at the edge of roads.
D400400 kNCarriageways and pedestrian streets, hard shoulders and parking areas for all vehicles.
E600600 kNHigh wheel loads, such as docks.
F900900 kNParticularly high wheel loads, such as aircraft pavements.

Load classes apply to channels and gratings (EN 1433) and to gully and manhole tops (EN 124).

The standards the range is designed to, what each covers and what it is used for
StandardCoversUsed for
EN 1433Drainage channels for vehicular and pedestrian areas: classification, design and testing requirements, marking and evaluation of conformity.Channel drains, slot drains
EN 124Gully tops and manhole tops for vehicular and pedestrian areas, in parts by material: classification, design, testing.Access covers, gully tops
EN 858-1Separator systems for light liquids, such as oil and petrol: principles of product design, performance and testing, marking and quality control.Oil separators
EN 1825-1Grease separators: principles of design, performance and testing, marking and quality control.Grease separators

Class belongs to the installed system. The class applies to the channel, its grating and the installation together. Each must meet the class required for the traffic above it, and the installation must follow the instructions supplied with the product.

Oil separator classes. Class I separators discharge not more than 5 mg of residual oil per litre under test conditions. Class II separators discharge not more than 100 mg per litre. Where a project works to another standard, state it in the enquiry.

Questions we are asked

Can Xpitrade price a project from a bill of quantities?

Yes. A bill of quantities, a drawing set or a product list is enough to start. The quotation comes back line by line, each product described to its standard and load class, with its lead time.

Which load class does a drain or cover need?

The class follows the traffic above it: A15 for pedestrian and cycle areas, B125 for footways and private car parks, C250 for kerbside channels, D400 for carriageways and parking areas for all vehicles, E600 for high wheel loads such as docks, and F900 for aircraft pavements. The class applies to the channel, its grating and the installation together.

What is the difference between Class I and Class II oil separators?

Under test conditions a Class I separator discharges not more than 5 mg of residual oil per litre, and a Class II separator not more than 100 mg per litre (EN 858-1).

What documents come with an order?

Data sheets, test and conformity reports and installation instructions for the destination market.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum order value is USD 3,000.
