The complete question-and-answer reference for the EPIC system: 148 questions in 21 thematic parts, each answer marked for the kind of evidence behind it.
The compendium answers the questions owners, operators, engineers, specifiers and contractors ask about the EPIC subsurface water-management system, from capillary physics and installation practice to salinity, cost structure and wastewater reuse in the GCC, in 148 questions arranged in 21 thematic parts.
Every answer carries an evidence marker. Verified answers rest on EPIC field installations, monitored pilots or laboratory analysis. Directional answers are sound engineering or agronomic reasoning, or designs modelled but not yet proven at scale, and are guidance for feasibility work rather than a warranty. Reference answers are general scientific or market background and are not EPIC performance claims. The distinction is to be kept when the compendium is quoted in tenders or technical submittals.
Parts I to XV cover the system end to end for a general reader. Parts XVI to XVIII go deeper for technical and agronomic specialists, including 22 questions on salinity, reject brine and salt-tolerant planting. Parts XIX and XX address chamber supply and regional wastewater reuse, and Part XXI answers the consulting engineer's design-stage questions on hydraulic modelling, storage, discharge, treatment performance and installation. A glossary and conversion table close the volume.
The Gulf evidence is named and dated: the Al Dahra greenhouse trial in Al Ain in 2010 to 2011, the monitored Royal Commission plot at Jubail, the Yas Island seawater studies, and the Sa'ad Park afforestation pilot east of Riyadh, which is reported as in progress rather than as a result.
