The two-page version of the Green Rating Contribution Guide, for developers, owners and project directors deciding early in a scheme.
A two-page brief for developers, owners and project directors on where the EPIC subsurface system earns points: in both the water and the site sections of the rating systems a Gulf or US project is likely to be certified against.
Page one gives the headline position (ten LEED v5 points directly, six more made achievable, and one Dubai permit condition cleared) and the four decisions that set the score: fixing the rating system, version and level early; sizing the EPIC landscape against the catchment; securing a non-potable source; and asking for a credit interpretation at concept stage.
Page two maps each function to LEED v5 and v4.1 credits: outdoor water use (WE c2-4, WE c1), water reuse (WE c2-6), water metering (WE c1, WE c4), rainwater management (SS c3, SS c4), resilient site design (SS c4) and the heat island, open space and habitat credits. It then summarises the local rules in Dubai (Al Sa'fat 601.04), Abu Dhabi (Estidama Pearl), Saudi Arabia (Mostadam W-02 and the treated-water law) and Qatar (GSAS and GSO 3000:2025).
