About this data sheet
The EPIC Pan is a single-piece injection-moulded square pan that works with the arched EPIC chamber. One pan and one chamber make one cell, and the pan serves that cell as water barrier, water store, cell former and pre-filtration, so a cell can be built where a continuous liner and sand profile cannot.
The first page gives the specification: size at the top edge, open bottom, sidewall height and thickness, total internal volume, volume at the connection invert, connection opening, side-wall openings, alignment rails, polymer, colour, weight and pallet quantity. Metric values are conversions of the published imperial figures, and three derived figures explain the standing water depth, retention per unit area and why the pans nest.
The second page explains how a charged cell works in three steps, charge, pass on and draw, and reproduces an EPIC standard concept detail of pans on a benched slope. It shows where the pan earns its place: tree pits and planters, roofs and podium decks, and slopes and benched subgrade, with site photographs including Cambria Elementary School in California.
Setting-out notes cover level installation, benching on slopes, subgrade preparation, cell-to-cell connection through the side-wall openings with the EPIC Grommet, and the optional geotextile below the pans. Sand, aggregate, liner, headers and controls are specified in the EPIC Technical Series, and the sheet is not a substitute for project-specific hydraulic and structural design.
